Big
Spring Area Food Bank |
|
|
- Each month our
congregation collects canned and packaged foods for
distribution to local residents of the Big Spring School
District.
- Each
Thanksgiving our congregation distributes frozen turkeys to
the families who participate in the Big Spring Area Food Bank.
- Each year,
through the national event, Souper
Bowl Sunday, our
congregation supports the local food bank.

Carlisle Truckstop Ministry
- In addition to
providing monies for this mission, we bake cookies for
Advent. The Carlisle West Shore Trucker and Traveler
Ministry distributes a "care package" of cookies and
a biblical message to those truck drivers who stop at the
various truck stops within "Miracle Mile."

Fruitbelt Farmworkers
Christian Ministries
Field chaplains and volunteers offer seasonal farmworkers and
their families worship services, spiritual counseling, clothing
and other material aid, emergency transportation for medical care,
translation services, emergency housing and food, and recreation. |

Salvation Army
- Twice throughout the year, one
time each by the Christian Education committee and the
Evangelism committee, our church provides the Saturday
meal.
- Each Advent
season we place "the mitten tree" in our main
vestibule. The tree is decorated with gloves, mittens,
hats, and scarves.
